about

TO: THE PASSERINES (whom IT may CONCERN)
FROM: S.R. FULLER

I thought about you every day, but I'm not one for romantic cartography. Is that what they teach girls in Illinois? One wrong step makes the rest worthless, so you said you'd better get there while you can. I tried to go but all the streets look the same after dark. The shadows cast by your brilliant past try vainly to lay flat against the road. I would just rather sleep alone.

I know where all your children stay. That's where you'll find me, I've been waiting. I'm a vigilante because I do this for pay. The ground is turning, isn't it true? Aren't we so polite?

Lips pressed, you flipped the switch. On my machine, there seems to be some kind of weird malfunctioning. And it's not the first time, and it won't be the last time.
